Breathe thru the years

Why is it that in whatever case
Somebody die, they say that he in a better place
Even though when he was alive, he never prayed
'Cause he was too busy focusing on the cheddar chase
You think God just wiped all of his sins away
You think the reverend's convincing all of his friends today
You think they really believed though he was dealing keys
That he'd be in heaven with some of them ill emcees...please
-Saigon "Breathe thru the years"

I don't even know what to say about this, it's pretty sad. Product of their environment?? Is it really their fault? God never puts us in a situation where He won't provide a way out
(1 Corinthians 10:13). Does this mean, people born into the slums are better at dealing with sin than the "more fortunate"....I don't think so. It's pretty clear that they have a bigger number of people that fall than the rich. Are their struggles really the same as those of common man? Meaning they deal with same issues as everyone else? (well common man in North America).
It's like being born into Sodom and Gremora, or Nazi Germany, do they really have the same opportunity to turn to God and live righteously as we do?

It's not by works that we reach heaven, but through faith alone. I think it would be safe to say that these people won't be going to heaven, as their actions don't reflect those of the people of God. (James 2:26 For just as the body without the spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead)

I usually try not to think too much about this stuff, I mean God can do whatever he wants 'cause He's God, and I'm just glad he chose me to be one of his people. So whatever....
